About
The Datsun 280ZX coupe of 1978 may have looked similar to its Datsun 280Z predecessor but it was in fact a significant redesign. It was available as a two-seat coupe or a 2+2. Under the hood it had a 135hp 2.8-liter straight six motor through a four-speed manual gearbox or an automatic transmission. However, in 1981, Datsun gave the US a turbocharged version of the 2.8-liter model that produced 180hp. This was linked to a five-speed manual gearbox. At Haynes, we have an extensive range of Datsun/Nissan repair manuals and online maintenance procedures available for professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our repair manual for the Datsun 280ZX is here to help you through every stage of servicing or fixing your car.
