The Renault Mégane II was introduced into the UK in October 2002, replacing the previous successful Mégane range. The engine range is essentially carried over from the previous Mégane, but all units feature upgrades to boost engine power, while reducing fuel consumption and emissions. In common with the rest of the modern Renault range, the new Mégane offers classleading levels of passenger safety, scoring a full five stars in the Euro NCAP safety tests. In the Mégane range, 3- and 5-door Hatchback models are available, as well as a 4-door Saloon and a 5-door Estate. The car has a high equipment level, even at the lower end of the model range. Besides the valuable safety equipment already mentioned, all feature variable power steering, trip computer, engine immobiliser, rear seat headrests, radio/cassette, remote central locking, and electric front windows. Air conditioning, CD player and electric mirrors are among the equipment fitted higher up the range. At Haynes, we have an extensive range of Renault repair manuals and online maintenance procedures available for professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our Renault Megane repair manuals will guide you through servicing and fixing your car.
