About

The second-generation Saab 9-3 was introduced in October 2002. It was based on the same running gear as the Vauxhall Vectra and was available as a 4-door saloon, 5-door estate, or 2-door convertible. The petrol engine was 2.0-litre turbo badged as 1.8t, 2.0t and 2.0T to denote different power outputs. The diesel engine was a 1.9-litre turbo with SOHC 8v or DOHC 16v. Standard equipment includes power-assisted steering, anti-lock brakes, remote deadlock central locking, twin front and side airbags, inflatable side curtain airbags (apart from the convertible), electric windows and mirrors, and air-conditioning.
