Key features:
The Toyota Yaris was introduced in March 1999. Complementing its small yet spacious body were small-capacity (1.0- and 1.3-litre) engines which managed to offer the performance of larger units. There were 3- and 5-door hatchback versions offered, as well as a 5-door estate, called Verso. The Yaris offered good passenger safety, with an impact-absorbing bodyshell and highly-rigid cabin, driver’s airbag and seatbelt tensioners. The range received a facelift in May 2003, with minor revisions to the headlights, bumpers and interior trim, as well as some safety-related improvements. The Yaris had plenty of equipment, even at the lower end of the model range, including a driver’s airbag, anti-lock brakes, trip computer, engine immobiliser, adjustable rear seat, radio/cassette and power steering. Air-conditioning was fitted higher up the range. For the home mechanic, the Yaris is a straightforward car, since most of the items requiring frequent attention are easily accessible. At Haynes, we have an extensive range of Toyota repair manuals and online maintenance procedures available for professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our Toyota Yaris repair manual is here to help you through every stage of servicing or fixing your car.
