About

The Mk3 Ford Mondeo was introduced in October 2000 as a 4-door Saloon, five-door hatchback and five-door estate, and was facelifted in October 2003. Here we cover the revised car. The 1.8- and 2.0-litre petrol engines continued largely unchanged, and a new 3.0-litre V6, offering 200bhp (and later, 220bhp), was launched. A new 2.2-litre turbodiesel was offered, as was an entry-level 2.0 TDCi with 90bhp. All models plenty of safety equipment, including two-stage driver and front passenger airbags, front seat side airbags, side curtain airbags, and seat belt tensioners. There are also ABS, Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).
