Key features:
The Saab 9-3 was introduced in March 1998, and was based on the Vauxhall Vectra’s chassis. IT was available as a 2-door convertible, 3-door coupe, or 5-door hatchback. Petrol engines were 2.0- and 2.3-litre units, both turbo and non-turbo, while the diesel engine was a 2.2-litre turbo. Standard equipment included power-assisted steering, anti-lock brakes, remote deadlock central locking, twin front and side airbags, electric windows and mirrors, and air-conditioning. Models may be fitted with a five-speed manual transmission or four-speed automatic transmission. For the home mechanic, the Saab 9-3 is a relatively straightforward vehicle to maintain and repair, since most of the items requiring frequent attention are easily accessible. At Haynes, we have an extensive range of Saab repair manuals and online maintenance procedures available for professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our Saab 9-3 repair manuals are here to help you through every stage of servicing or fixing your car.
